Ahead of the 2024 Local Government elections billed for October 5, 2024 as announced by the Akwa Ibom State Independent Electoral Commission, AKISIEC, as well as the timeline of activities for the conduct of PDP Congresses released by the National Headquarters of our Party, the State Executive Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party, Akwa Ibom State, has approved the following timeline of activities:

Wednesday, July 24, 2024 – Submission of Forms for Councillorship Aspirants

Wednesday, July 24, 2024 – Sales of Nomination and Expression of Interest forms for Chairmanship Aspirants

Thursday, July, 25, 2024 – Submission of Forms for Chairmanship Aspirants

Friday, July 26, 2024 – Screening of Councillorship and Chairmanship Aspirants

Saturday, July 27, 2024 – Ward Congresses

Monday, July 29, 2024 – Publication of List of Successful Aspirants

Tuesday, July 30, 2024 – Appeal Panel sits to consider Complaints from unsuccessful Aspirants

Wednesday, July 31, 2024 – Councillorship Nomination

Thursday, August 1, 2024 – Appeal Panel sits to hear complaint(s) over Councillorship Nomination

Friday, August 2, 2024, – Ward Congresses Appeal Panel sits

Saturday August 3, 2024 – Chairmanship Nomination

Monday August 5, 2024 – Appeal Panel sits to hear complaint(s) over Chairmanship Nomination
