… Reveals Rural Development Blueprint for Ika LGA

… We see victory ahead – Dep. Governor

As the Akwa Ibom PDP Gubernatorial Campaign train berth in Ika Local Government Area, the governorship standard bearer, Pastor Umo Eno, has stated that his thought for the people of Ika is that of development in line with the yearnings of the various communities in the area which is alluded will lift a lot of people into wealth.

Declaring that once elected, he will not waste time but to swing into action with execution of his plans and programmes for the people, hinging that there will be no time to waste in the course of delivering dividends of good governance to the masses.

“We are determined to hit the ground running from day one. Once we take over, we will begin straight with projects. There will be no time to waste on unnecessary things.”

“I have seen oil palm trees all over Ika. You deserve to have a big palm oil processing plant to help improve on the precessing of your produce and curtail how you go to far distances in order to process your palm fruits.”

“All I’m thinking about is not to abuse and insult anyone. All I’m thinking about is not to fight anyone, but how to improve on the standard of living of the people in Ika and lift people from poverty into wealth. We are for rural development and we will bring that to Ika through agriculture and infrastructural development.”

The Deputy Governor, Mr Moses Ekpo who also represented Governor Udom Emmanuel, said that PDP does not need to worry about Ika, holding that he sees that victory for the party in the area is already sealed and waiting to manifest at the polls.

On his part, the state chairman of PDP, Rt Hon (Elder) Aniekan Akpan who presented the party’s flag to the candidate for Etim Ekpo/Ika State Constituency, Hon. Mfon Idung, candidate for House of Representatives, Hon. Aniekan Umana and the Senatorial District candidate, Barr Emmanuel Enoidem, noted that Ika is known for integrity and steadfastness in supporting PDP and that this year will not be any difference.

Debunking speculations that Pastor Umo Eno is either summoned or apprehended by the police, the immediate past Attorney General of the State, Uwemedimo Nwoko, SAN, stated that no such thing has happened and that the story is a mere propaganda by opposition elements who do not mean well for the state.
