… As Guber candidate reels out blueprint for Mbo

As the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Akwa Ibom State continues its local government campaign tour, the people of Mbo Local Government Area have pledged to turn over the massive votes for the party’s gubernatorial candidate, Pastor Umo Eno and other candidates of PDP.

Speaking through various leaders and stakeholders of the area in Enwang, Wednesday January 11, they expressed excitement over the candidature of Umo Eno/Akon Eyakenyi, while assuring that as a mark of gratitude to PDP and Governor Udom Emmanuel’s development strides in the area, they will mobilise en masse and churn out massive votes to return Eno/Eyakenyi and other candidates of PDP elected.

While sharing his plans for the people of Mbo, Pastor Umo Eno, who said that Mbo will greatly benefit from the next administration on areas including infrastructural development, business support scheme and food production based on the peculiar seafood and agro economic sectors dominant in the area, adding that his administration will not only ensure continuity in good governance, but will improve upon the existing policies and programmes of government as well as seek to maintain the prevailing peace in the state.

“I will seek the peace of Akwa Ibom because my investment is in this state. We thank you for supporting PDP. Mbo will become a tourist haven. We will support your businesses which is fishing, with nets and good roads. I promise that there will be no abandoned project in Mbo. We will work with investors and engage them so this local government area will benefit greatly.”

We will train youth so that they can take advantage of the opportunities we will bring to Mbo. Udom Emmanuel brought infrastructural and industrial spirit, my administration will bring the entrepreneurship spirit. We will create jobs that will help facilitate a robust economy.”

“We will have a robust plan with the security operatives to ensure a free fishing time in water. We are going into a golden era in Akwa Ibom state and it is going to be a new dawn”, he said.

The Deputy Governor, Mr Moses Ekpo, who also represented Governor Udom Emmanuel, said that Mbo “deserve everything Udom Emmanuel has done for you. Mbo is most deserving of all good things. I thank you for standing by Governor Emmanuel. Umo Eno is coming and is coming with integrity, love and fairness.”

On his part, the state chairman of PDP, Rt. Hon. Elder Aniekan Akpan while presenting candidates to the people, stated that PDP is an organized party and that the emergence of Pastor Umo Eno as the party’s standard bearer is divine selection, adding that God has confirmed and the court has affirmed Eno as worthy to be the next governor of Akwa Ibom State.
