2024 LG POLLS: MORE COUNCILLORSHIP ASPIRANTS IN PDP PICK UP FORMS

More Akwa Ibom citizens aspiring to serve as Councillors on the Platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, today, Saturday July 20, picked up Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms as part of preparations on their part to take part in the elections.

State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Rt. Hon. (Elder) Aniekan Akpan who was on ground to supervise the exercise which entered the third day today, said apart from the sales of forms, the party was fashioning out robust strategies to ensure that aspirants who will emerge as candidates of the Party become successful at the general contest.

He advised those wishing to purchase the forms to follow the procedure of obtaining Bank drafts at Zenith Bank PLC with the details provided as this will make it more convenient for the aspirants.

The Akwa Ibom State PDP Chairman said “By next week Wednesday, July 24, 2024, our Party the PDP should be rounding off the process of sales of Forms and submission will follow almost immediately. So we encourage aspirants to take advantage of the window that has been opened for this exercise”

Some of the aspirants who spoke to newsmen shortly after obtaining their Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms said they were impressed by the hitch-free and highly efficient manner the Peoples Democratic Party was handling that part of exercise, expressing the optimism that other aspects of preparation for the elections will bear the stamp of excellence that the PDP in Akwa Ibom State is known for.
