2023 IS NIGERIA’S GOLDEN CHANCE TO GET IT RIGHT WITH PDP – UDOM EMMANUEL

AKS PDP positioned to win 2023 polls – Aniekan Akpan

Governor Udom Emmanuel has stated that 2023 is a year that presents a golden chance for Nigeria to get it right with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which he says hold the key to the “restoration of Nigeria”, noting that it will be a redemption of the country from backwardness in various sectors of the economy.

Emmanuel who spoke in Uyo, Wednesday January 4, 2023, while addressing members and stakeholders of PDP during the new year converge of the party, decried the level of deterioration of the country since 2015, holding that Nigerians are waiting for PDP to emerge and restore the lost hope of citizens and revive ailing sectors of the country’s economy.

“God has given us in PDP the responsibility to restore Nigeria back to its full glory. We have to restore the economy of the country, we have to restore security, peace and unity in Nigeria and bring prosperity to the people. PDP is ready and will restore Nigeria”, he said.

The governor who reiterated his commitment to leave Akwa Ibom State better than he met it when elected in 2015, hinted that he will not relent in delivering good governance even as he expressed confidence that PDP candidates will return elected to provide more dividends of democracy to the people.

On his part, the state Chairman of PDP, Rt. Hon. (Elder) Aniekan Akpan who conveyed the message of the party to the governor, thanked him for making the party proud in his leadership strides, adding that the party is relentless in supporting his vision to grow the state, while informing the governor of the gains the party has recorder with him as leader of the party.

“Your Excellency, for us, the entire structure of our Party in Akwa Ibom State, our collective disposition towards you is that of unflinching support and total loyalty. And by way of showing our gratitude, I have the permission of the entire Party structure to re-affirm our unshakable determination to ensure total victory for our PDP standard bearer, Pastor Umo Eno and Deputy Governorship Candidate, Senator (Dr.) Akon Eyakenyi and other PDP candidates for State and National Assembly elections.”

“For the past nineteen months that I have been on the saddle, as State Chairman of PDP, our Party in the State have made tremendous progress through your leadership and inspiration as well as team spirit of party officers and our ever resilient supporters”, Akpan pointed.

On his part, the PDP gubernatorial candidate, Pastor Umo Eno, who also spoke at the event, applauded Gov. Emmanuel for his visionary leadership in the state, declaring that “what His Excellency has not been able to achieve, I promise that we will accomplish and do even more when we come into office.”

Others who spoke seperately including the Speaker of State Assembly, Rt. Hon. Aniekan Bassey, immediate past National Legal Adviser of the party and PDP Senatorial candidate for Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District, Barr Emmanuel Enoidem, PDP candidate for Eket Senatorial District, Rt. Hon. (Dr) Ekong Sampson, agreed that PDP has fared well with Governor Emmanuel at the helm of leadership in the state, declaring that PDP will not disappoint the people when elected at the 2023 polls.

Highpoint of the event was the presentation of Party Vehicles to Local Government Chapters of the Party.

The event was attended by the Deputy Governor, Mr Moses Ekpo, Speaker of the State Assembly, Rt. Hon. Aniekan Bassey, as well stakeholders across all levels of the party.
